The story can be about anything you want and can be as long as you want. The best stories will be read out on air and five children will win book vouchers and a writing kit from the Broadwalk Shopping Centre in Knowle.

There's a charity fundraiser for Cancer Research UK on Thursday 8th May at the Bierkeller - doors open at 7.30pm.

The line-up: an eclectic mix of Bristol bands - Nova Scotia , the Compadres, The Wild Gulloots and Pure.

£6 in advance / £8 on the door – all proceeds go to charity.

Saturday 14th June is the annual BIG South West Walk. It gives you the chance to raise money for the Hospice by walking around the South West coastline - seeing some spectacular scenery.

The BIG South West Walk is divided into 84 sections of varying length, suitable for a wide range of abilities, so everyone can get involved!
